January 09, 2010: Release of Parliamentary Kit in Assam |

Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI) in collaboration with Voluntary Health Association of Assam (VHAA) released the Parliamentary Kit on 9th January, 2010 at District Library Auditorium, Golaghat, Assam.
The kit was released by Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Sri Dip Gogoi, Mrs. Ajanta Neog, PWD Minister and local MLA of Golaghat and Mr. H.N.Bora Deputy Commissioner, Golaghat in the presence of the eminent officials and citizen.

Ms. Jyotika Baruah, VHAA and Dr. Gunaram Khanikar, RRTCITT, Golaghat also spoke briefly on tobacco issues and related health hazards, tobacco control initiative taken by VHAA and expressed the desire to make Golaghat a Tobacco Free district.
A signature Campaign was also initiated and participants including dignitaries actively signed, thus pledged and committed to make their respective areas/society/environment smoke free. |
