Sensitization of the youth representatives on tobacco control

The ‘6th National Conference on Tobacco or Health: Towards Tobacco-Free India-An Audacious Race Against Time’ was organised by International Institute of Health Management Research-Delhi from February 16-18, 2024 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The conference focused on promoting learning through experience sharing by professionals, researchers, academicians and public health experts in the field of tobacco control research, policies, and advocacy. The thematic sessions of the conference included Economics of Tobacco Production and Control in India, Governance in Tobacco Control, Environment and Tobacco Control, Digital Interventions in Tobacco Control and Best Practices among others.

Mr Binoy Mathew, Programme Manager – Communications, VHAI was invited as one of the speakers for panel discussion on Multi-sectoral coordination for Tobacco Endgame in India and the Role of Media at the conference.
